I was doing 45 - 60 minutes of cardio 4 or more days per week, and some strength training 2-3 days per week. I didn't see any loss on the scale, (I'm not dieting) but I fitted into a smaller size. The fat analyzer showed I had less body fat (a lower %) than the I started with.

Acumen JogMate Plus Pedometer

I have owned many pedometers over the years but this is one of the best. I like the ease of use for setting up parameters (stride length, weight) and reveiwing results after a walk or run. It does about all you need: distance traveled, elapsed time, number of steps, average speed and calories. I compared to the one I have been using and it seems to be as accurate as any of these devices. I do have to wear it on my ankle to get an good count of steps taken. I tried it on my waist and it only counted about a third of the steps compared to my old pedometer. No big deal though. It is larger than most pedometers I've used but it alson has a larger, more readable display. One feature I like is that it doesn't start counting steps or timing until the start button is pushed. Not a huge deal either but nice to have. Also works for walking or running. Overall a great, easy to use product with plenty of features.

Escali B180RB Glass Platform Bathroom Scale, Black

I love the fact that this scale is round - I bought it because I thought that a round, navy scale would look great in my bathroom, and it does, it's very stylish.

But in order to turn it on, I have to lift up the rear of the scale with my toes and let the scale *drop to the tile floor* for the 0.0 to appear. Literally. You cannot simply tap this with your toes, or with your heel, or slap it with your hand...I've tried it all.
At first, this didn't bother me much, but now I feel like it's getting worse, like I need a bigger *bang* to get it to turn on.

Otherwise, the measurements are consistent, but they do vary with the floor surface. (For example, I'm two pounds heavier on hardwood flooring than on tile.) This seems normal for a scale, so it's really just a regular scale, nothing special.

Omron CompAir Elite Compressor Nebulizer Model C21

I have 2 severe asthmatic children. Over the years I have tried several different types of nebulizers. For the price, this small nebulizer is a convenient workhorse. It is very reliable.

As the other reviewer noted, it is not particularly quiet (the silent nebulizer uses a vibrating mesh, wonderful but expensive to replace and the unit became unreliable after about a year of use); it uses the standard air compressor technology but in a very small, easily portable package - much easier to transport than the Pulmo-Aide that we carted around for years.

The unit does also vibrate your hand and mouth as noted, but a tubing accessory is available for purchase which allows the compressor to be separate from the nebulizing chamber and eliminates the problem.

My only complaint about this unit is that it uses a proprietary connector system so all accessories must be Omron (you can't buy the inexpensive nebulizer chambers, masks, and tubing available at most surgical supply stores).

Still, I have been very pleased with our two units, and feel that for the price (I bought mine for $42 each on ebay probably about 2 years ago) it's been a bargain, convenient and reliable.

I returned the item after receiving readings that did not reflect accuracy. The cuff was placed over my radial pulse and within a five-minute period, I received greatly varied readings on the same wrist. I will stay with the brachial artery (upper arm) reading with a manual cuff or might attempt another for over that part of the arm.

New BP7003 Step Pedometer

My company wanted to purchase a large number of inexpensive pedometers for a wellness program. We ordered 3 of the BP7003 and 3 of the SM-2000 and tested them in parallel. The BP7003 was very inaccurate and also had a tendency to accidentally reset because it did not have a cover. Users were easily frustrated.
If you can afford the additional $1.25 each, the SM-2000 is a much better alternative. We have placed several orders and now have over 100 in use. Both pedometers ship from the same company and the company offers quick shipping.

Omron HJ-105 Pedometer with Calorie Counter, PURPLE

The Omron pedometer (HJ-105) has some very nice features. You input the time of day, your weight, the average length of your stride, and it will tell you the total number of steps each day, plus the number of aerobic steps (how does it know? I don't know!), the number of calories expended and the number of miles.

The included manual is easy to understand and the interface is intuitive, at least to me.

Be careful you don't cut the manual when you cut the industrial-strength plastic case to get at the pedometer. I did, and I had to tape some pages together.

It's a good product. I bought ten and am re-selling them to friends who want to lose weight and be healthier.

I almost forgot the best part: it resets itself every 24 hours!

This was the second purchase of this exact model for us. Very compact, sufficient air force and very portable. If you have to do nebs away from home (i.e., in airports and hotel rooms), this is a gem. My son prefers to use a mask rather than the hand held device so that he can use his hands to play video games or read while doing the neb. The mask is inexpensive but must be purchased separately. Note that you can also buy a separate adaptor that uses electricity from a car dash source. A separate battery that you charge at home allows you to use the the neb when no electric source is available. We bought a camera case to replace the case that comes with the machine. This allows you to keep all the attachments together. An excellent product.

Escali B180RC Glass Platform Bathroom Scale

My Escali B180RC did not work after arriving via UPS from Amazon.

It also appears to have been returned merchandise. Included with the scale, was newspaper from late December (December 28) from the 502 area code.

Amazon sells this as a new scale, but apparently ships returned defective merchandise. At least with respect to this scale.

I advise not purchasing this scale.

I'm about to go through the hassle of returning it for credit.

The scale is small, made mostly of glass, and the LCD has no backlight. Anyone with large feet will have difficulty standing on it.

I ordered 5 of these and 5 of the less expensive CM model and had my employees wear one of each for a week and keep a record. To start with, one of these arrived DOA and because I had removed it from the box the seller asserts that is used and will apply the 15% restocking fee plus shipping both ways to replace it. The DMC-03 read 2-3 times the number of steps the plain CM one did so I asked everyone to manually count to see which pedometer was correct and surprisingly the cheaper CM was far more accurate. When I contacted customer service to see about replacing the DMC-03's with the CM's I was told that I can't prove they are inaccurate so they are used and the 15% restocking fee plus shipping, both ways, applies and then only if I notified them of the defect within 3 days of receipt. Well, it took us longer than 3 days to figure out which one was correct and I would have ordered about 1000 of the CM's but I guess I'll have to find something else now because I will not do business with someone who will not stand by their product. Did I mention that I attempted to contact customer service around mid-morning last Friday and was told that the customer service dept would not be available until Monday??? This is nuts!

SM2000 Step Pedometer

I read the reviews for this pedometer before I bought two.
They are simple to use and work rather well. They are very sensitive to movement, so it needs to be placed where you don't juggle.

I wear mine on the back and it works great. My daughter wears hers on the front.

You should have it attached to snug fitting waistband or belt for best results and accuracy. Again they are sensitive to juggling.
